About Metastatic Breast Cancer
When cancer that originated in the breast moves to other parts of the body, the cancer spreading is called “metastasis.” MBC is the most advanced stage of breast cancer and is also known as Stage 4. Treatment for MBC is lifelong, and the goal is to prevent the cancer from spreading further and to control symptoms so that the person with MBC can live a good quality of life for as long as possible.
People living with MBC have unique needs and concerns that too often aren’t often represented, understood or acknowledged. Rethink is committed to amplifying their voices and improving MBC outcomes through education, support, advocacy and research.
